Automobiles in German Town Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Blood, Law Enforcement Confirm

Incident location Affected vehicle Area Police
Officers stated they were notified by a individual who noticed a automobile in Hanau smeared with red-colored substance

Roughly fifty cars have been marked with what seems to be human blood in the German city of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to police.

Automobiles, exterior walls and mailboxes were vandalized, sometimes with Nazi symbols, they announced in a statement.

Police report they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a man observed that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish-hued liquid.

The fluid had been drawn in the form of a swastika, they stated.

Police then discovered multiple other vandalized automobiles and building exteriors in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi symbols.

Law enforcement state early analysis indicate the substance was probably blood from a person.

"At present there remains no indication as to its source; officials are currently not informed of any injuries in association with the occurrence," they stated.

Local authorities stated they were attempting "to unravel the incident" and have requested to the public for details.

A senior representative commented the attack left him speechless and required to be resolved rapidly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing attack half a decade ago," he stated on a platform, recalling the death of nine victims by a gunman aiming at residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
