Zohran Mamdani Promises a 'Dawn' for NYC in Inaugural Speech
On his initial day in his new role, Zohran Mamdani vowed to “reimagine” the metropolis, declaring “a different age” and an ambitious start to his tenure.
A Historic Mayor
The young figure, who just a year ago remained a virtually unknown state assemblyman, has become the city's first mayor born in Africa. He also made history by being the inaugural to be take the oath of office using the Qur'an.
